Snow Blossom adventured, lately, to launch a brand new range of Chinese fashion for women who dream to dress up in exotic oriental style with top quality materials and workmanship.

In the early last century Shanghai was one of the fashion cities known for its luxury traditional Chinese dress-Qipao-a figure-hugging dress with highly skilled cut. These skills and workmanship remained until the middle of last century when Chairman Mao (Communists) ruled the country. Traditional beautiful Chinese dresses had been banned and all women in China had to wear army shaped suits with no other colours but grey or dark green. Many of the skilled tailors either lost their jobs or had to make 'army' suits during the Cultural Revolution(mid 60s-mid 70s). Dressing women beautifully was certainly a big taboo at that time. After decades of making 'army' suits, many of those tailors had become colour blind. Entering the twenty-first century China became more and more colourful like its economic growth but heavily influenced by the western style of fashion. Very few traditional workshops are left now in Shanghai. To support and glorify the traditional luxury tailoring and the exquisite workmanship, Snow Blossom's owner Natalie Xiao Bell had this mission in mind and went to Shanghai to establish the business relationships with the traditional workshops.
